Something Fishy On Somethin' Fishy

Last Thursday, my friends and I went to Eastwood to have breakfast at Somethin' Fishy. Their buffet breakfast costs Php169 only and you can enjoy plenty of menu this restaurant prepared for their guests with big appetite!

I really really love their beef tapa because it's sweet and tender. The most common taste for tapa is kinda salty but not in this restaurant. Ah-uh...

LOVE the ham!!!

I think this is chicken bites. I didn't try this because I can order this at KFC. ;)

Siomai!!! Yum yum!!!

My first plate. :D

Desserts (Maja Blanca, Gelatin and Palitaw)

Our "DIY" waffles and pancake. :) The chocolate syrup was a winner.

Okay... we're near towards the sad part of this story. Jen and Arvee get some of the desserts and they get 3 pieces of puto bumbong so each of us can get one. I stood up to get another pancake and when I came back, they were looking at something on the puto bumbong plate. They saw a small cockroach! Arvee took some photos of that little creature (which I will post here also) before he call the manager.

The manager was kind enough to assist us with what we saw and he offered to change it with a new one. He also apologized but explained to us that whenever they cook puto bumbong, it's covered. He's trying to say that it's clean which is okay with me. It's natural to defend his staff. Arvee asked for a letter stating that he acknowledged our concern and in case something wrong happened to us, they will be held responsible for it. He negotiated with us again by not paying our bill. He also said that they don't give letters. I asked him how do they deal with situation like this? He wanted us to be satisfied with his apology. Arvee insisted to give us a letter or note about what happened. He didn't give us a letter but he gave us their main office' contact number. I think this is the best thing he can do. I don't want to rate their customer service but it's up to you to judge.

I'm not trying to ruin Somethin' Fishy's reputation but may this blog serve as a reminder to double check the cleanliness of the food and sanitation of your restaurant.

I'm A Two Timer

Gotcha!

I'm not a two timer and will never become a two timer. I had two dates today at work and I don't know if I should expect another one. Hihi...

First I was invited by the Change Management team to join them at McDonald's because Jimbo will treat us for some snack while Jun brought a fancy wafers for the girls. So we went to McDonald's and we ordered coffee, chicken burgers, hamburgers and french fries. Sorry but I'm too shy to take photos of us since I belong to Problem Management team. It feels good though that even if I belong to another group, they still invite me to go with them. We didn't stay there too long because I still have to attend the Weekly IT call at 11pm. I had a great time on my first date. :)

Luxury Wafer (Yummy indeed!)

On my second date, still at McDonald's, I went out with my own team this time. Chel wants to have coffee at Starbucks but I suggested to eat at McDonald's. The treat was on her so we ordered for spaghetti, coffee and cheeseburger meal for Naz. After finishing our meal we decided to go back in the office right away because we still need to update our tickets and Naz will be preparing the dashboard.
It doesn't matter if you have a date on Valentine's Day as long as there are people around you who makes you happy everyday. It's going to be special if you have a special someone to celebrate it but, that is if your special someone has a plan on making it extra special for both of you.

I'm still thinking on what to give for my grandma and Mama later when I go home. Hmmm... what do you think? :)

Play: Ibong Adarna

Last week, our youngest brother asked me if I can watch their play at school on February 5, 2013. He'll be playing the role of King Fernando in Ibong Adarna. So I asked him what time and he said it'll be around 8 o'clock in the morning. I said yes to him and he asked me if I could bring our camera so I can photograph him and his classmates.

I went home early so I can go with Mama to watch Neil at school. Their AVR is so cold and I'm imagining myself getting the Philippine flag and wrap it to myself. Haha! I was expecting that parents and students will occupy all seats at the AVR but even there were plenty of us, the room stayed so cool.

This is when the narrator introduced King Fernando.

Now with Queen Valeriana.

The royal family! :) Don Diego, Don Pedro and Don Juan. Sons of the king and queen of Berbania.

The scene when the king got very sick.

King Fernando commanded his eldest son, Don Pedro to search for the mythical bird.

Here goes the Adarna. Her song made Don Pedro fell asleep. The bird defecated and fell to his body and turned him to stone.

Same fate happened to Don Diego when his eldest brother failed to return.

I took a picture of Mama while watching. :)

There goes Don Juan.

He fought the giant to save Princess Leonora.

And they fell in love...

Don Juan asking Princess Leonora to come with him.

Sorry, I did not take pictures on all scenes. In the end, Don Juan married Donya Maria and not Princess Leonora. He also caught the mythical bird and made his father well  when it sang.

The cast.

Their Filipino subject teacher.

My brother.

Thanks for inviting me to watch your play. It reminded me of my freshman year in high school. I had a great time although it was freaking cold at your school's AVR. :)
